How to remove background noise from audio
- Drop your recording above, or choose it. A video file works too.
- Pick how much noise to take out, then press Remove noise.
- Switch between Original and Noise removed to hear the change.
- Save the clean file as an mp3 or wav.
How it works
The page runs DeepFilterNet3, an AI model trained to tell a voice from the noise around it. It listens in slices of 10 milliseconds and keeps the voice in each one.
It all happens in your browser. The first run loads the model, about 10 MB, and the next runs start at once.
Tips for the cleanest result
- Start with all the noise it can. Pick Medium if the voice sounds thin or too dry after.
- Fix loudness after the noise. Noise gets louder along with the voice. The volume booster sets the level once the noise is gone.
- Expect one channel back. The model works on a single voice track, so a stereo file comes back as mono at 48 kHz.
