1.1.0
Play your files right in the list, see how far a job has got and stop it, a log of everything you made, and many more audio formats.
Listen before and after
Section titled “Listen before and after”Every file in the list now has a play button and a seek bar, so you can hear what you picked before you run anything. Files load into memory first, so seeking is quick.
The new Activity button, at the right of the bottom bar, opens a list of everything you made since you opened the app. It is grouped by run, and every file that is still on disk can be played or shown in Finder.
See progress, and stop when you want
Section titled “See progress, and stop when you want”A file being worked on shows how far along it is, like “Converting… 42%”, with a bar under it.
- Stop ends the file being worked on now and skips the rest.
- Stop after this file lets the current file finish first.
- The stop button on a row ends just that file. The rest carry on.
A stopped file leaves nothing half made behind. It goes back to waiting, so you can run it again, and it does not count toward the free weekly files.
More formats
Section titled “More formats”Gleam Audio now opens many more kinds of audio, including AIFF, CAF,
Wave64, WavPack, Monkey’s Audio, Matroska audio, WMA, AC3, AMR and Ogg .oga
files.
Convert can now also write AIFF, CAF, Wave64, WavPack, AAC, OGA, WMA, AC3, MP2 and MKA. The format menu groups them into Common, Studio and lossless, and Other.
Also new
Section titled “Also new”- When a run ends, a bar under the header says what happened, like “Converted “interview.wav” to mp3.”, with a button to open the folder.
- The run button always reads like “Convert 3 files”, so a long file name no longer stretches it.
- A reset button puts finished files back to waiting, so you can run them again without adding them again.
- The bottom bar now sits flush with the bottom of the window.
